Her research focuses on the development of cost-effective, eco-friendly, and portable sensor systems for detecting toxic ions and biomolecules, with practical applications in environmental monitoring and healthcare diagnostics.

Amna currently serves as a Chemistry Lecturer with the Higher Education Department and as a Research Assistant at UST Bannu. In this role, she teaches, conducts laboratory work, designs experiments, mentors students, and contributes to peer-reviewed international journals.

With a strong commitment to impactful science, she aspires to become a globally competitive researcher and academic leader, advancing innovative solutions to pressing real-world challenges.
