Dr. Elisha Otome, PhD

Dr. Elisha Otome, affectionately known as Dr. O, is endowed with exceptional human and problem-solving skills. He had his PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of Louisville, after having obtained a Master’s and BSc from Tennessee State University in Kentucky, United States, and Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, respectively. 

He then pursued a postdoctoral fellowship at Georgetown University, where he gained further expertise in metal-mediated reactions and transformations, and their biological implications.

Dr. O has worked in different capacities as a Professor and a Scientist for multiple organizations. He is currently a Clinical Scientist (manufacturing) for Thermo Fisher. Before joining Thermo Fisher, he worked as a Research and Development Chemist at Regis Technologies and as a Field Application Scientist for Malvern Panalytical.

His love for Chemistry is matched by an even greater passion for human development and educational empowerment. He has sponsored many scholars and provides mentorship to graduate students and aspiring scholars. He is a man of broad intellectual appetite and social impact. He is a poet and a sensational storyteller, with over 300 written poems.
